Proposals

Dandara is bringing forward proposals for new homes on land south of Wainsford Road, Everton.

The site is located adjacent to existing development and represents a logical extension to the village.

Dandara’s vision is to create a high-quality and sustainable development that responds positively to its surroundings while helping to meet local housing needs.

As the proposals continue to develop, technical assessments will be undertaken across a range of areas including transport, landscape, ecology, drainage and access.

Feedback received through the engagement process will help inform the evolution of the proposals ahead of any planning application being submitted.

The proposals are expected to include:

  • A mix of new homes, including affordable housing
  • Public open space and green infrastructure
    Landscaping and biodiversity enhancements
  • New walking routes and connections through the site
  • Sustainable drainage features
  • Contributions towards local infrastructure and services through the planning process

The proposals seek to provide

Homes

  • Up to 149 high quality new homes, comprise a mix of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes.
  • 50% of the homes will be affordable tenure, comprising a mix of Social and Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership.

For the community

  • Significant public open spaces, including play areas and green space, with continued stewardship across these areas.
  • Creation of new pedestrian and cycling routes into and through the site, with cycle access linking onto Wainsford Road and Lymington beyond.

For sustainability

  • Enhancing the site’s green infrastructure through retention of boundary vegetation and further native planting.
  • A minimum of 10% biodiversity net gain across the site.
  • Sustainable Drainage Strategy ensuring that surface water is managed appropriately and sustainably across the site.
  • The use of sustainable construction techniques with a fabric-first approach and the use of renewable energy including Air Source Heat Pumps and PVs.
